Friday Little Give Away…
So have you ever bought something and then a couple weeks later made an order with someone and realised once it’s arrived that DUH you had already bought it before. So I thought I might give it away to one lucky person. Here is the little prize on offer…
To win all you have to do is
- Leave a comment and in that comment let me know which
- Magnolia is your favourite or which one you love to use.
There are just so many even I have trouble picking a favourite but I often have a flavour of the month as I call it, hahaha.
**This is only available for people in Australia, sorry**
I love Friday. I have been absent due to the mother of all head aches. Although I know it’s only one day I was going to try and do a blog post a day for a month like I did way back when it was a lot of fun and was good for making the creative juices flow. Maybe I still might do it, just with a sick leave day hahaha. It was one of those ones where you wonder if it will ever go away. Started late Wednesday night and I can still feel it but it’s very dull and hopefully on it’s way out.
So here is some of the Design work for The Scrappin’ Kats, I’ll show the rest soon. I must admit I looked at all my design work for both TSK and SS and think that the work this month just isn’t up to standards, might be why I am a bit reluctant to show it. So I will have to work extra hard this month on next moths I think! This is a sketch I chose for the challenge this month I liked it because it was different…

And then here is my version of the card…..

Stampin’ Up! Stamps : Crazy for Cupcakes and Short and Sweet.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock/ Designer Series Paper : Kraft, Barely Banana and Regal Rose Designer Series paper.
Stampin’ Up! Inks/Markers : Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Rose Red and Ruby Red.
Stampin’ Up! Other : Pretty in Pink Ribbon, White Embossing Powder and Crystal Effects.
And then here is one of the cards I made using the gorgeous kit that Kat over at The Scrappin’ Kats supplies for $6! It’s an amazing price considering you can make not two but many cards with the supplies! I know that Princess got the last kit and she ended up making at least 4 cards with the supplies.

The Scrappin’ Kats Kits.
Stampin’ Up! Markers : Creamy Caramel, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery and Blush Blossom.
After I put all this together and stuck it down I realised a stamped something behind the gorgeous Tilda would had been nice. But not to worry, it still give the effect.
Well best keep cleaning. I swear you take one day out of washing etc and it always = double time. It was just one day, ONE day, hahahaha. Going out to dinner tonight with Carrie and Stacey so can’t wait for that. It’s been so much better having Stacey living closer, ok so still a couple hours away BUT better than QLD where we would only see each other once a year or so. Been really good to have the little girls get together more as well.
I’ll be back a little later on wit a little something special.
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

New Sweeties Sketches Challenges…

Well happy 1st of July everyone. A new month is always very exciting because it means I can show some of the Design Team work I have worked on during the month that I am often bursting at the seams to share with you all. Only not so much this month as I will admit I had so many ideas for this sketch from Sweetie’s Sketches, I had sketched out at least 5 different cards for it and NOTHING would work, it was very frustrating, so here is what I came up with instead. This is the sketch in question…

And then not overly happy here is my cards using it….

Stampin’ Up! Stamps : Crazy for Cupcakes.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock : Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink.
Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers : Sweet Always.
Stampin’ Up! Ink / Markers : Pink Pirouette , Pretty in Pink and Tangerine Tango.
Stampin’ Up! Other : Dazzling Diamonds, White Gel Pen, Rose Red Double Stitched Ribbon and *Retired Ribbon.*

Stampin’ Up! Stamps : Best Yet, Friendly and Garden Whimsy.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock : Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana and Whisper White.
Stampin’ Up! Inks : Regal Rose and Rose Red.
Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper : Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose.
Stampin’ Up! Other : White Gel Pen and Rose Red Double Stitched Ribbon.
Why not join in?
Well must dash the girls and I are going to see Carrie and her little girl for a couple hours. Not looking forward to the in between cold bit. but I’m sure she’ll have the fire going when we get there. I’ll be back a bit later on with my Scrappin’ Kats Design Team work.
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

The Stamp Spot Opening TOMORROW…
One of my blogging/stamping friends made a decision in her life to leave Stampin’ Up! and do something she had been wanting to do for a while. She is going to open her very own online store The Stamp Spot…

It will have a range of stamps, papers, inks, punches everything you need for your cardmaking and even scrapbookng. A great range and something for everyone. So make sure you pop over and bookmark it and be one of the first in line tomorrow.
The Stamp Spot is also looking for Design Team members. So be sure to check out The Stamp Spot blog to find the details.
All the best Marcia, it’s all very exciting!
On a quick note I promised someone a tutorial and I promise I will have it up before the end of the week. Slack I know, so sorry!
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge with Mojo Monday
Well I really wanted to get some challenges done over the weekend and work on DT work. I managed to get half of what I really wanted done. But it’s always the ways when you try and plan to get things done, or is that just with me? Well it has been so fun to just stamp for fun and join in with other challenges again. Now I’ll be the first to admit I really wasn’t sure about the Basic Grey is the colour challenge over at Keesh’s, but she said to give it a go, that I might even surprise myself, her work is gorgeous, check her versions out HERE… And here is the colours I’m waffling on about…

And then I got a bit stuck. I had the idea in mind but it wasn’t working and if you can’t tell I am loving sketches at the moment. Thank goodness most of my DT work is based around sketches and MDUC allows you to use other challenges with the DT work or I would be buggered some days. Sketches are also great for when you can’t find your mojo. Funny I say that when I used a Mojo Monday sketch that looks like this…
And then here is my version. I did do a scallop punch under the ribbon but it got lost, hahaha.

Magnolia Stamps : Bought from The Scrappin’ Kats. Butterflies bought from Magnolia.
Stampin’ Up! Stamps : Say it with Scallops.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock : Basic Grey.
Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper : Baja Breeze.
Stampin’ Up! Inks / Markers : Basic Black (to make a grey) and Ruby Red.
Stampin’ Up! Other : Riding Hood Red ribbon and Riding Hood Red button.
And you know I have just realised just then that DUH KELLIE I used riding hood red ribbon and a button, where was my brain at? Oh that’s right watching Buffy, hahaha. Right better make a note to self to not create while watching Buffy. Am getting a tad addicted to the series at the moment. I realise the the scallop sentiment isn’t as easy to read in the photo, I done it on water colour paper to see the effect and in real life it looks really rustic and suits the card really well.
Don’t forget to check out the new challenge blog coming soon…..Delicious Diva Challenges…

Winter Wonderland with a touch of Truly Scrumptious on a Sunny Sunday…
Uhhhh not really, more like a chilly Sunday but it just doesn’t sound as good as sunny now does it? Although I do plan on having a ‘Lazy’ Sunday. We had a bit of a clean up yesterday, tip run and what not so it felt good to finally get rid of the stack of folded out boxes from SU orders, trying to claim that half of them really aren’t mine, haha Hubby knows better! So today some time I will have to do a food shop so we don’t starve for the week, but other than that I think we are staying in, too cold here.
OK so yesterday I showed you some challenges…. Did any of you do any? I decided that even though the Winter Wonderland had closed I was still going to do it. I had too many ideas not to, but then often when I have so many ideas I get STUCK so I went looking for a sketch challenge but nothing really stood out to me to work with what I was after and then on Truly Scrumptious Challenges their sketch before their new one was PERFECT so even known the challenge had ended I still wanted to use the sketch, some what. So here is the sketch…

Only of course I didn’t stick to the sketch to a T, but uhhhh your thinking I turned it around, like usual, hahaha. Not I just made it the standard size, although I love the skinny length in this sketch and think I might be holding onto it for future stuck drawn a blank moments. So here is the card I made for Winter Wonderland which was A Blue Christmas…
Magnolia Stamp : Bought from The Scrappin’ Kats.
Stampin’ Up! Stamps : Seasons of Joy.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock : Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Kraft and Brocade Blue.
Stampin’ Up! Inks/Markers : Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, Boarding Blue, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy.
Stampin’ Up! Ribbon : Bashful Blue Double Stitched and White Gel Pen.
I have another card that I made for another 2 challenges, but after taking a photo I realised something else I would like to add to it, so hopefully will get that done a bit later this afternoon when I am, I AM going to have an hour of me time.
In the mean time, best entertain the girls and start my food shop list.
Take care everyone and thanks so much for stopping by xx.

What to do…What to do…What to do…?
So I don’t know about most of you but being in Victoria lately isn’t a ray of sunshine but I love the weekends for these kind of days….Why? because they are great STAMPIN days, especially when the hubby is home as he can spend his time with the kids while I spend my time with my stamps, haha! And what better way to spend your day stampin that to enter a couple of challenges?

Sweeties Sketches has 2 great sketches. One for a card and the other for a LO. Which for someone that used to scrap before finding stamps that now rule my life, hehehe. They are fantastic to help me get back on board. HEre is the card sketch that I just LOVE…

And then the LO sketch which I didn’t get to only because I loved the card sketch so much I made about 5 of the design and didn’t get to the LO sketch in time…

And why not enter, you get to play along and make something that you can either keep or give and you could win yourself a prize, just for entering?! So really nothing to lose and everything to gain. You can see Sweeties Sketches by clicking HERE…
Or do you have a Magnolia you have just been dying to play with but some challenges don’t fit in with it? Well then go on over to….

Over at Magnolia Down Under we are having a colour challenge, so you can play along with any Magnolia that you like. The colours being….
- Brown, Orange Cream/White.
- Brown, Pink, Cream/White.
- Brown, Blue, Cream/White.
Go over and check out the gorgeous Design Team work by clicking HERE… for some inspiration.
Back onto sketches?! Who doesn’t love a good sketch? But more so who doesn’t LOVE a good challenge? I don’t let a really hard challenge turn me away in fact lately I have been playing along with some colour challenges I would never touch but they were great for helping me think outside my comfort zone. The Scrappin’ Kats….

Has not only some card sketches but some LO sketches as well. Something to temp everyone. And why not enter and load your creation to the gallery? Not only do you get the chance to win yourself a voucher to help your addiction but the girls are gorgeous over there and always have a lovely comment to leave. And with sketches like these….

When I was first given this sketch I thought…..eeek what to do! But I enjoyed the challenge. And then here is the LO sketch that I actually made into a card instead with mine, so see sometimes a LO sketch is really a great card sketch in disguise, hahaha!

And then last night I was waiting to see what challenge Keesh was going to come up with. And the wait was worth it, although as always I looked at the colours and went EKKK what to do, what to do. But after seeing her amazing creations and the Design Team I am inspired and am going to be working on that one today….

I think it’s the Basic Grey that threw me for a 6. But click HERE… to check out the gorgeous inspiration.
And the other challenge I hope to play along with this weekend while finishing the last of my DT work is a new one I have seen some people play along with as of late, mainly Debbie Pamment who has done some AMAZING cards with the challenge….
And the challenge they have going this week is….

And by the looks of it by clicking HERE… They load a new challenge every Sunday, so I had better get this one made today. I have had a few ideas going around in my head. I remember when I first saw Deb do one and thought OMG Christmas cards now in JUNE! But it’s actually a really good idea to get a head start.
Well that is all I can do for now, have some BORING housework to attend to and then lunch and then I’m stampin all afternoon no ifs or buts about it, haha.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Thanks for stopping by and take care xx.

Creative Inspirations mixed with Diva Coffee Break Designs…
Morning all,
Well I made this to go with 2 challenges. I was surprised how quick and easy it was to make and can see myself making many more and also a good one for class. Before I start with the challenges I just wanted to make a quick note that due to life, work load, new adventure etc I have decided to step down as Design Team Member for Creative Inspirations! The girls there are wonderful and they even said that my spot will always be there for if I feel I would like to return, isn’t that just the sweetest thing, I was very touched. So back to the challenges at hand, the challenge over at Creative Inspirations! is…
- Anything BUT a card.
And then while blog hoping I found a challenge blog called Diva Coffee Break Designs. And they have a colour challenge, well had because as I see this morning they have a new challenge up, so I’m late, but not to worry. The colours weren’t something I would usually do, but I love a good challenge, so here are the colours….
So after I stamped the images and stuck them all down I realised…. I used Not Quite Navy NOT Night of Navy, ooopsee. I think I just looked at the colours and didn’t read them or my brain read what it wanted to read?! So here is what I came up with….

I got the tutorial for this little cute mini pizza box from Split Coast Stampers. They have so many there you seriously don’t know where to start. I can’t wait to try out many more…

Stampin’ Up! Stamps : A Rose is a Rose and Much Appreciated *retired which I forgot, ooops*
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock : Kraft and Whisper White.
Stampin’ Up! Inks/Markers : Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy.
Stampin’ Up! Other : Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon and Hodge Podge *retired.*
Well as always I started this in the morning and then I’ll feel guilty and go off and put a load of washing on, vacuum, mop etc and then come back think of something else I could or should be doing. I mean I could get them all done and then sit down and blog, but lets not get ahead of ourselves there hey, HAHA.
Well best get a head start on lunches, thinking something warm….
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday…
*I actually started this blog post early yesterday morning but while trying to get ready so I could head to Melbourne at 3.00-3.30pm for the P!NK concert, house work, visitor and it didn’t help that the phone was ringing non stop, one being princess it went…
Kristy : What are you doing?
Me: Folding clothes.
Kristy : Your boring me already.
Cracks me up that girls does, every time.
Well while blog hoping the other week I came across a new sketch challenge. And I am starting to love sketches. All the works already there, you just have to basically put it together. So then I came across Sweet Sketch Wednesday … And if your a sketch lover then make sure to pop over, they are looking for 7 YES that’s right 7 new Design Team Members. So here is the sketch in question…

But of course it wouldn’t be a sketch if I didn’t do this……..

And then here is what I came up with, which is actually nothing like I had in mind?! Always the way sometimes isn’t it. You have something set in stone in your mind but it turns to dust once you start!

Magnolia Background Stamp : Bought from The Scrappin’ Kats.
Stampin’ Up! Stamps : A Rose is a Rose, A Kind Word and Friendly Words Wheel.
Stampin’ Up! Ink/Markers : Blush Blossom, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, Certain Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Close to Cocoa.
Stampin’ Up! Card Stock and Designer Series Papers : Barely Banana, Whisper White, Patterns Pack II Designer Series Paper.
Stampin’ Up! Other : Retired Ribbon.
We got to Melbourne yesterday afternoon around 5.30pm and went to the casino to have dinner, it was so nice even if it was cold, we sat outside along the Yarra I think it is, lol?! But we made sure we had a table right under the heaters. The meal was so nice. We then headed off to the P!NK concert, she was and is amazing! LOVED every moment of it, she is not only an incredible performer she is also very funny and just gorgeous. I think it’s safe to say we all had a great night and Carrie more so, not only seeing P!NK but she got to get her fix of Krispy Kremes and I have never been much of a fan but ok I will admit their original glaze and strawberries and creme was yummo.
Ok so now I am a little behind in my posting and it’s even taken me all day just to find 15 min to myself to finish this off. I swear you fall one load behind in the washing and you end up with an extra 2 loads?! But it’s always good to finally catch up on the house work. And now I must go and make a start to dinner….. Think I might look into a slow cooker they are meant to be worth every cent. Some of the girls at the class on Saturday were saying how much they love theirs.
I may be back soon, but as I always I wont promise, but I’ll try…
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.
